Fiber troubleshooting

For homes with a WiConnect fiber terminal.

  1. Look at the fiber terminal The small box where the fiber enters the house. A red or flashing alarm light means the fiber signal is lost — skip to reporting an outage; nothing inside the house will fix it.
  2. Power-cycle the terminal and router Unplug both, wait 10 seconds, plug in the terminal first, then the router a minute later.
  3. Check the Ethernet cable between the terminal and the router — both ends clicked in.
  4. Test Load a website on a device connected to your Wi-Fi.

Never bend, unplug or clean the fiber cable itself. The glass is fragile and the connector must stay sealed.
