Cable troubleshooting

For cable internet customers in Seneca, Lynxville, Wauzeka, Eastman, Mt. Sterling and Loganville.

  1. Check the modem lights If every light is off, check the power cord and outlet first.
  2. Power-cycle the modem Unplug the modem's power for 10 seconds and plug it back in. It takes two to three minutes to lock back on — wait for the online light to go solid.
  3. Restart your Wi-Fi router If the router is a separate box, unplug and replug it after the modem is back online.
  4. Check the coax Make sure the cable screwed into the back of the modem is finger-tight and not kinked.
  5. Test Load a website. Still nothing? Report it and we'll check the node.

Still down?
